ORGAN RECITALS

An organ recital will be given at First Church to-night. The programme includes Lamentation (Guilmant), Air with Variations (Linard), and by special request, " The Storm" (Lommcns). The principal items in the programme will be prefaced by a few lemarks on the composers, and tho characteristics of the works performed. It is hoped by these means to render the larger pieces more intelligible to the average listener. •An interesting feature will be the combinations of organ and violin in a sonata by Handel and a romance by Svendsen. Miss Foster will be tho vocalist. Admission is by collection.

The organ recital to bo given to-night in Knox Church by Miss A. Bary is being looked forward to with keen interest, and as the programme is one of exceptional merit, including Bach's great toccata and Fugue in D Minor, Ireland's Romance Elegiac, and Mendelssohn's attractive first Sonata, it is anticipated there will be a large attendance of lovers of organ music. Miss Bary will have the assistance of Miss V. Balk, Messrs Martin, Satterthwpite, and Maitland, who will render competition solos.
