. LONDON, September 28. Although the English Rugby Union is oMnrate against the Australian proposals, officials and sporting' writers express considerable anxiety that a break-away be avoided. Mr Marriott, the secretary declared that the union would never be induced to assent to more speeding up in the game m an endeavour to conciliate the public, thus handing over Rugby to a few specialists.
