Y.M.O.A. CONCERT

o . Last evening the concert hall of the Y.M.C.A. was taxed to its utmost, when a very appreciative audience listened to a first-class entertainment. A comrjany of piorrots, headed by one of ihe resfdonts in the took charge of one half of the programme, and materially assisted in mak-s ing the concert a success. Fifteen minutes of the programme was given over to tho magic lantern operator screening several original and good slides, of -well-known celebrities, tho slides being made on the premises by members of the Y.M.C.A. Camera Club. Included in the programme was a cornet solo frorii Mr Burgess, recitations by Miss Powell and Mr Bezett, and songs by Miss Stentiford. Messrs Blackmuir, Parker, and Histcd. The accompanists were Messrs Goddard and Roi Don. Tho proceeds were satisfactory, and will result in the establishing of the cricket club on a sound financial basis.
