Saturday, September 25. (Before Mr H. Y. Widdowson, S.M.) Drunkenness. —A first offender wae fined 203, in default 48 hours' imprisonment. Remanded. —James Louis Peterson was remanded lill this morning on a charge of stealing a bag of rabbitekins, valued at £11, tlio property of tho New Zealand Lean and Mercantile Agency Co. Hard Labour.—Eobert Koberts- pleaded guilty to obtaining the sum of £2 12s from George H'Gillivray Boss (Chatto Creek) by means ol « i luelcsa cheque.—Chief Detective Bishop said that accused tendered o, valueless cheque for £3 in payment of his board, and received £2 12s in change-. Ho had been previously convicted of falso pretences and theft.—Accused was eentenced to three monthe , imprisonment, with, hard labour.
