It is reported from Detroit that the Ford Company has reduced the price of motor cars from 14 to 31 per cent. Other automobile- manufacturers of prominent brands have announced a reduction of 17 to 21 per cent. It is reported from Chicago that the Sears Roebuck Company and the Montgomery Ward Company, two of the largest merchandise houses in the world, have announced price reductions «i 10 to 20 per cent.—A. and N.Z.
