rU e M i e Marsh P'ctare, " Spot\i? hve reols . to bo shown at the Kmg s .Theatre to-day at the matinee is a particularly charming comedy. It is" L picture with a theatrical life as a back ground, and one of the most interesting characters in it, after the heroine, *SS publicity man attached to the show He is 'up agamst it" for an idea, and something- m Sadie s character suggests his plavuig her up as a eainf S3ic is not that strictly speaking, but something mucli better m tho way of a sweetheart, as the ncn hero discovers. He is attracted to hor■by the publicity she gets. Then he is deappomted m-her beciwso she does not lill his lcreal, but he discovers in the end her real, trae-hearted, charming self. Mae Marsh manages to get a gieat deal out of her part in this feature. The role of thr Samtly Show Girl," an original character to bo sure, fits her personality remarkably well, whereas ehe endows it with the same mingling of whimsical touches and; reality that has estabLshe'd her as one of the skulcd actresses of tho screen to-day. The story dovs not deal exclusively with life on the stage, but has scenes of pleasing contrast, and of typical Irish life. A comody and gazotto will support tho feature film
