Demonstrating with piWand. ' biass a nice -taste in legitimate music,"thev proceeded to extract tunes from a.frvino: . pan, cowbells, discs, etc., and concluded " j 1 * spirited piano-xylophone duet , A duo of fresh voices,_ Laurie and Rossi'e, . found ready favour with the audience Tho tenor voice was of a light and pleasing quality, the baritone a trifle muffled, but the ensemble was satisfying. To accom pamments provided by the baritone the pair .sang a number of popular melodies ' harmonised,- ragtime being not overlooked .the stop-over artists contributed handsomely to the new_ nrcgramme. Tliose astonishingly agile terpsichorean Liliputs, Fullers' Nine Wonders, furnished the liveliest possible 10 minutes with a bewildering succession of ' dances, songs, acrobatic whirls and stage pictures, captivating the audience afreshAbdys cats, dogs, oockatoos, etc.. -went through their clever entertaining act with a sagacity almost Unoanny, winning applauso tor their trajner. That trickster at the piano Geo. Ross, ■ presented a budget of his specialties in a manner eminently satisfying to the large audience. Ho played tiie p .^ n °ff rom . impossible positions, and incidentally showed an artistic acquaintance with the saxophone. Graceful and shapely, the Tw'o Fishers presented an attractive series of beautiful poses and,sinuous evolutions. Poincare's ujimicry of tho orchestry of the farmyard and the bush was wonder- ■ fully convincing. and often highly divert- ' mg. Le Mourner, man of Btrcngft'and " exponent of jiu-jitsu, gave another interest- - ing exhibition, and Nora Burko contributed, r couple of songs. There is a wide range of variety and a full measure of merit in the new programme which will commend it to numerous patrons throughout the week. Tho orchestra, as usual, did excellent worfc.
