THE WEATHER
(Fbom Ouri Own Correspondents.) CROMWELL, Juno 28. Late last week the weather cleared briefly, but on Saturday afternoon a heavy blizzard swept the valley. Two nights of severe frost followed, and snow is still lying at a low level. 'Ihe weather is dull and foggy. QUEENSTOWN, Juno 28. Very hard frost was experienced in the district on Friday niglit. and burst water pipes and taps worried a few unwary house"holders. • Soon after noon on Saturday rain set in, and the conditions bccame milder during the downpour. By evening, however, the sky cleared, and frost again reigned supreme. Some of the skating pools arc now bearing, and cnthusiastio skaters are deriving tho keen enjoyment the sport affords.
m ■ KUROW, June 26. The snow stopped falling vesterday, and in tho afternoon it commenced to freeze; at 4 p.m. there was iec on the water, and this morning all the taps were frozen. Snow commenced to fall again this afternoon, and is still coming down very heavily. All stock here is being hand-fed.
