DUNEDIN STOCK EXCHANGE. The local exchange observed 'two days' holiday during the middle of the week in honour of the Prince's visit, but business has been particularly active on the remaining days. In mining stocks Mount 1/yeils have been slightly weaker. They were told at 26s 6d last Saturday, and yesterday changed hands at both calls at 265. Talismans are "offered at 9s and inquired for at la less. Waihia changed hands on Thursday at 445, and were offered yesterday at 44a 9d, without buyers. In investment stocks National Banks are to be had at £7 5s and Bank of New South Wales at £36 ss, but no business has been, recorded. There was a seller of Bonk of Now Zealand (£6 13s 4d paid) at £25 yesterday, buyers offering £23. New Zealand Insnranra were wanted at 34s 8d and offered at 34s 6d, but no business resulted. There is a demand for preference New Zealand Shipping Company shares at 10 guineas, but none are offering. P. and 0. stock has weakened considerably since last week in sympathy' with the London market. Parcels changed hands on. Thursday at. £505 and £510; and the closing quotations yesterday show buyers at £500 and sellers at £510. Business was reported in preference Union Steams at 21s sd. Huddart, Parkers were sold on Thursday at 6fa and 56s 3d, but were a trifle easier yesterday. Westport Coals have been changing hands fairly freely at 335, and the market closed yesterday with an unsatisfied demand at that figure. Business has been done in ordinary Westport-Stocktons at 9s 9d and 9b 6dL Yesterday, after sales at 9s 6d, the market closed with a buyer of 500 at 9s 6d and a seller of 100 at the same figure. Goldsbrough, Morta were sold on Monday at GOs, and are now* wanted at that figure. Dominion Rubbers have been disposed of at 41s 9d. Contributing Refrigerating shares changed hands on Monday at 27s 3d, at which price they were on * the market yeterday. Paipor Mills, alter'being sold on Thursday at 375, were transferred ■ at 36s 9d and 36s 6d yesterday. Business in Dominion Rubbers has been reported l at 41b and 41s 6d. Paid New Zealand Drugs were taken' up at 72s 6d on Monday, and Is less is now offered for them. There has been a steady demand for various issues of Government debentures at £95 15s. .
