LONDON, May 20. At the Wages Board inquiry into the railwaymen's claim for increases of pay an accountant produced figures to show that the cost of the increased wages over the pre-war sums was already £100,01)0,000, and the new claim would involve a further £35,000,000 a year.—A. and N.Z. Cable.
