PLAZA THEATRE
"The Breed of Man," a virile story of the men and women who people tlio sunbaked plains and hills of Arizona, forms the chief attraction in tho now programme that was screonod at the Plaza Theatre yesterday. It is a line picture, and m auro to enjoy a popular season in Qunedin. The story concerns "Careless" Ciirmody (W. S Hart), Ruth Fellows, Bobby Fellows, and Wcsley' Prentice. It shows how Carmody is at first friendly with IVentice until tho run.our spreads that he (Prer t.ice) is a land shark, and has been swindling the settlers. I'rentico floes to Chicago, but Carmody follows him as a f-tock hand on a <-attic train, and brings him buck to justice. Wrongs aro righted, and Prentice is allowed lo go ba<Tk to Chicago, which ho does, a sadder and a poorer man. Carmody fails in love with Ruth, and everything- ends happily. There ib an excellent programme of supporting films to complete a really attractive programme. Episode Bof "Tho Grey Seal" is screened at the afternoon sessions.
