Elsie Ferguson, the popular and talented Arteraft star, will bo seen at the Octagon Theatre to-day in a Paramount special attraction, " Heart of the Wilds." This production is said to bo thrilling in the extreme, and to show the star in a particularly suitable role. Besides the number of thrills in this production, there is also a tender heart interest and a lovo theme. Tho story has an outdoor setting, and is full of rapid-fire action. Thomas Meighan is seen in support of tho star. Tho story of "Heart of the Wilds" was the original creation of Gilbert Parker, one of the foremost writers of fiction in the English language, ...ie plot being drawn from two of his stories, "Pierre and His People" and "Jen of the Triple Chevron." Tho writing of the scenario was entrusted to Charles Maigne. Marshall Neilan, with a notable list of Mary Pickford productions to his credit, was the director, while with him went Walter Stradling as camera-man .L..e cast is headed by Thomas Meighan' and in "Heart of the Wilds" ho is said to have ono of the most dashing roles of his career The supporting pictures include a Mark Sennett comedy, a Bray piclograph, and Topical Gazettes Tho music is supplied by tho Octagon Pextct The box plan is at Messrs Begg and Co 'a music warohoue.
