Tho comedy, "Possum Paddock," : i\vritteh by Miss Kate- Howarde, will bo staged at His Majesty's Theatre, commencing next Saturday night. Miss Kato Howarde went for a sojourn into the, black-blocks to write ' the play, which oonsequentlp teoms with, ' • the true atmospheres of tho bush. There are said to be no crude carioaturce of out-back ': types in this play. Rather are all the "' pecplo real. This fact tends to make a groat human appeal. It is known that Dad M'Quado is a real old farmer, and that Mum M'Quade is tho actual loveable typo ! of bush mother. The boys, Billy and Bob, are reported to bo just as unsophisticated as one would liko them to be, and are credited with so many diverting sayings as to lead one to agTeo with tho management in their high opinion of the play. :'
