LETTER OF THANKS FROM THE PRINCE. Sir George Fenwiok, chairman of the New Zealand branch of the Empire Prees Union, has received the following letter from lieu-tenont-oolonel B. W. M. Grigg, secretary to the Prinoo of Wales:— "Sir,—l am directed by tile Prinoo of Wales to convey to you his ainoore thanks for the loyal address presented to him on behalf of the New Zealand branch of the Empire Press Union. No one realises more fully than his Royal Highness the great importance of tho work of the press in maintaiirintf the best understanding between all parts of th© Empire, and he wishes the union all possible prosperity and success. He is grateful for your good wishes, and will be happy to convey your assurances of devotion to his Majesty the King. "His Royal Highness also wishes me to convey through you, as chairman of tho Now Zealand branch of the Empire Press Union, his sincere appreciation of tho manner in which tho press of New Zealand has shared in the wonderful welcome extended to him throughout thi dominion. He knows that his rapid movements through the country have entailed much extra care arid labour to all those who aro concerned in tho writing and production of the daily howspapera, and he would like to thank the editom and all their staffs for the trouble w'i'ch they have taken to assist in making his movements known,ftand thus helping him to meet tho largest possible numbers of his Now Zealand kith andi kin. Ho has been very pleased to recognise in the press of Now Zealand a cloee counterpart to the press of the Old Country, and he wishes it in the future sound influence and welldeserved prosperity."
