SCHOOL COMMITTEE
The monthly meoling of tho Albany Street School Committee was presided over by Mr A. Dempster (chairman). There wore present Messrs -W. R. Smith, J. Abernothy, W. Tyrio, P. Findlay, J. H. Wilkmaon, and J. Main. Tho following 1 committees wore appointed for the ensuing y«vr: Works—Messrs A. Burk and P. Findlay; delegates to School Committees' Association —Meesrs J. 11. Wilkinson, W. Tyrio, ami tho chairman; Requisites Ifcssrs j. Sinton and J. Main; Visiting—. Messrs .T. Aboi-ncthy and J. 11. "Wilkinson. Tho hend major's report showed that (ho attendance warn keoping up satisfactorily, despite tho foot that so much sickness was about. It was resolved to writ© to tho Education Board suergcating ihat tho school bo not opened on Friday, May 21, seeing thai tho winter term holidays h®d been abandoned. The resignations of Mr A.
