For the purpose of giving organised Labour an opportunity to learn "the facts" about the strike of jockeys at Avondale a meeting was held in the Trades Hall to-night. There was a fairly good attendance, whioh was presided over by Mt P. Robson, president of the Canterbury Tradee and Labour Council. The meeting was addressed by Mr C. O. Sheath (secretary of the Jookcys' Association), Mr If. Davies (South Island representative of the Jookcys' Association), and Messrs E. J. Howard, J. M'Oombs, and 1). G. Sullivan, M.P.'s.
