"The Misleading Widow," the chief attraction to be Burecnod at the Plaza. Thoatro today, is described as a bright and interesting' comedy, with Billio Burko in the loading role. The story centres about tho ofiorts of a small community to entertain a number of army otGocra who aro billeted upon it. Billio Burke, supposed to bo a widow, has roally a husband, who had loft her on account of her extravagance. Her popularity with the officers makes her the envy of other women, but her hospitality lands her in debt, and when the bank refuses to cash her cheques she writos herself a telegram announcing the death of her husband, in ordor to get his insurance money. When the missing husband reappears under an assumed name as an officer to be billeted in her house she keeps her own oounsel, arffl the man likewise conceals his identity from the others, until a strange meeting of all concerned makos it necessary {or him to disclose his name. Ingenious and amusing sub-titles give a relish to the picture, which is reported to be tastefully produced and efficiently acted. Billio Burke imparts a pleasing personality to "The Misleading Widow," whoso ideas on bank balances are such as a charmingly foolish woman might reasonably entertain, lhe supports are said to be of the usual high standard.
