MR NICHOLSON'S LECTURE

Mr R. E. B. Nicholson gave an address at, the Town Hall, North-East Valley, last night on "Bible Teaching Concerning Our Times." He said that the Bible claimed to be a lamp to man's feet and a guide to his pathway, and it was right that he should pay attention to his chart, that he might learn where he was on the stream of time. To the careful scholar a beautiful plan cf God was revealed in the Biblo. A great purpose, a great scheme for human uphtfc wae observed, and each age in the past could be seen to have accomplished some particular step in the.progress towards the accomplishment of this purpose. The great events of the present day were clearly foreshadowed. Mankind in general had beem permitted to take its own course, and learn ite self-inflicted lesson from disobedience, and in due time the present dispensation would cloeo. Satan had been permitted to influence humanity and to hinder progress towards righteousness and enlightenment, but now he would bo dethroned, and the' influences of the new government of earth ur.der the Prince of Peace would be helpful in overy good way, and would restrain, eyl. Then tho stili small voice would command potoe, and the reign of pea«o and righteousness would begin. Free literature waa given away, and correspondence invited on Bible questions, to be addressed to the Berean Bible Institute, Melbourne.
