SALVATION ARMY.
Yesterday all day the harvest thanksgiving services were well attended in the Salvation Army Hall, DowKng street 2 over 700 being present at the evening service. Bandsman Parker sang very effectively "Bohold Me Standing at the Door," while Sister Peljowe and Bandsman Burgess sang a duet entitled "The Harvest Is Past" Mrs Major Gnnn spoke of God's goodness during the year tfoat hae just trone, Captain MTKenzio reading from God 6 Word. Tho bond rendered two beautiful selections. To-night tho Silver Band is to render a programme of music, and it will be assisted by several elocutionary and vocal items, also a violin solo, "Sonr»s of Scotland," by Mre Atwell. Bandsman Ollio Judd will render a cornet solo. Mrs Clifford Brown will bo the accompanist on the piano. The hall has boon very tastefully decorated by Bandmaster Lupp and several other comrades, and tho show of fruit is an exceptionally good one. This will be sold at the close of tho programmo to-night and to-morrow night. Each evening refreshments and fruit salad can be had, this department bedng in the hands of Mrs Lapp and Mrs Richardson.
