For tho concluding day of tho Auckland Racing Club's summer meeting to-day tho weather was fine hut dull. Tho racing was excellent. Through Red Ribbon and Heathercote falling in tho Grandstand Handicap Decley and T, Reid wero both injured. Tho former was badly shaken, and tho latter hud 11 shoulder hurt, and was conveyed to tho hospital. The totalisator investments wero £93,719 10a,, against £60.408 for the corresponding day of last year. Tho total for tho meeting was £458,781 10s, an increase over last yoar of £172,611 10s. Results:—
GOODWOOD HANDICAP. One mile— 2 He Oro (T. R?id), 1; 5 Rockfield, 2; 1 Bonetter, 3. Also started: 9 Crowhur3t, 4 MuUingar, 7 Escaped, 3 All Talk. 11 Bitholia, 12 Lady Energy, 8 Mountain Gold, 6 Tabasco, 13 General Advance, 10 Glen Canny. A good race between tho placed horses. Te Oro won by a nock; hair a length between second and third. All Talk was fourth. Time, lmin 39sec. SYLVIA HANDICAP. Six furlongs — 1 Welldone (O'Shoa), 1; 2 Landslide, 2; 4 Potono 3. Also started: 3 Wanigan. .The winner led throughout, and won by three-quarters of a length; two lengths between second and third. Time, lmin 15 2-Sseo. GRANDSTAND HANDICAP. One milo and a-quarter.—3 Gaziquo (R. Reed), 1; 5 Melee, 2; 2 King Lupin, 3. Also started: 4 Mascot, 1 Lord Kenil worth, 7 Red Ribbon, 6 Hoathercote, 9 Ohinewairua, 8 Makepsaco, 10 Blue Cross, 11 Killard. King Lupin made the pace to tho distance, followed by Ohinewairua and Lord Kenilworth. Gaziquo and Melee came fast in tho straight, the former winning by two lengths, the third horse eight lengths away. Mascot was fourth. Red Ribbon and Heathercote foil. Tho latter broke his off shoulder, and had to bo destroyed. Time, 2min 6 2-ssec.
ROYAL STAKES. Six furlongs.-l Gloaming (Gray). 1; 3 Silver Link, 2; 5 Humbug, 3. Also started: 4 Moorfowl, 2 Riffht and Loft. Silver Link Jed to the turn, followed by Gloaming. Tho latter took tho load at the distance, and won comfortably by three-quarters of a length, the third horse two lengths away. Right and Loft was fourth. Time, lmin 13sec. AUCKLAND HURDLES. Two miles. — (Packer), 1; 6 Battletide, 2; 2 Entente Cordiale. 3. Also ran: 3 Movement, 1 Rokanui, 5 Explorer, 4 Marconi 8 lotara Jack, 9 Middlenvjrk. Won easily by 15 lengths, 12 lengths between second and third.' Rokanui was fourth. Time, 3min 43 2-ssec.
COUNTY HANDICAP. Six furlongs.4 Taiamai (Reed), 1; 5 Hymestra, 2: 6 Murihiku, 3. Also ran: 3 Some Boy, 2 Simonides. 1 King Abbey, 8 General Joffro, 7 Heather Moon. A good finish, Taiamai winning by three-quarters of a length; two lengths between second and third. Some Boy fourth. Time, lmin 13 Z-ssec.
AUCKLAND PLATE. One mile and a-half.-2 Snub (O'Shea), 1; 1 Rossini, 2: 3 Bonnie Maid, 3. ■ The only starters. The winner led throughout. A good finish. ' TROTTING AT CHRISTOHDRCH. (Peb United Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, January 2. The Canterbury Park Trotting Club's summer meeting was concluded in ideal weather. There was a large attendance. The totalisator handled £41,340 10s, making £83,861 for tho meeting 1 . Results: —
