At Carisbrook to-day a high-class exhibition of Rugby should be witnessed in the* interprovincial match between Otago and Southland. This will to tho only representative match in Duncdin this season. Otago ha« a particularly good all-round team, and tho Southlanders are also a good side. The Southland men arrived bv motor last evening, and mil stay at the Excclsior Hotel. As a 1 curta;n-raiser" the representative schools' match between Otago and Southland will b-j played, and this should provide a very interrsting exhibition, as the school boys at all times play a good game. ASSOCIATION. Not for many years has tho senior grade championship produced such a close finish ns this season's competition is providing. At tho conclusion of the second round Southern and Northern, oach with 17 points, stood equal, thus creating a cup tie, and furnishing an exciting and interesting puzzle—to pick tho winner. The problem will be solved at- Culling Park to-dav, wh?n the play-off will take place. As a "curtainraiser," the Commercial Travellers will meet a team of Old Timers. Many of the brst players of the past will tako part in tlrs contest.
