Widdowson) in the City Pohce Court yesterday morning when Mittio Facoory was charged with attempting to leave New Zealand without making provision for his wife and child. oCwfff canned £3 per week maintenance, and also asked for a bond of £103 as for-the payments. Previous to this application the, wife had made no claim whatever on her husband for maintenance, and his client was prepared to enter into any agreement provided his wife would come to Dunedin, and he was willing ihe defendant said m evidence that ho had lu-edmDmiedm for 13 years. He had been to Mastcrton once before his marriage was now 21 years of age.
