ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
{Peb United Pp.fss Association.) _ DANNEVIRKE. September 9. A fatality occurred at Tataramoa yesterday afternoon. Two brothers named Lovejoy, of Darmevirke, wore restinar after pig hunting. One- of them (Henry) was leaning, on his rifle, when the charge exploded, entering his abdomen and coming .put at his left breast. WELLINGTON. September 9. Fred SVilson. a bush man, 35 years of atro. married, with four children, was killed while working in tho bush at Wo.ituhi, on the Taringamutu Totara Sawmill Companv's property yesterday. At tho inqurst a verdict was returned that tho deceased was accidentally killed by a tail ropo striking him and breaking his nock. -NELSON, September 9. While Charles T. Tecce was working at Messrs Hewetson and Teoce's sawmill at Dovcdale yesterday he was crushed by a log, and received injuries to which ho suceumbod la=t night. Ho was a single man, 42 years of age. and had recently returned after years' s?rviee with the Expeditionary Force. While a roan nimed John Smith, a waterside worker, residing in Stono strer-t, Morniugton, was crossing Princes street, in tho vicinity of tho Gridiron Hotel, yosterday he was knocked down by a passing motorcar, and was severely- injured about tho head.' Ho was convoyed to the Hospital in a ?omiconscious statn. and hi? condition is euch as to cause, some anxiety.
