Tecce was working at Messrs Hewetson and Teoce's sawmill at Dovcdale yesterday he was crushed by a log, and received injuries to which ho suceumbod la=t night. Ho was a single man, 42 years of age. and had recently returned after years' s?rviee with the Expeditionary Force. While a roan nimed John Smith, a waterside worker, residing in Stono strer-t, Morniugton, was crossing Princes street, in tho vicinity of tho Gridiron Hotel, yosterday he was knocked down by a passing motorcar, and was severely- injured about tho head.'
