Two recovered, hut the third, a labourer named John Brown, single between 40 and 50 years of age, was romoved to the Wairoa Hospital, where he died on Saturday morning-. Tho deceased drank a Ml cup and the second man tasted the liquor. The third suspected something wrong, owing to the colour of the liquor. The inquest was opened and 'adjourned pending an analyst's report.
