REFUSAL TO PARADE.

(Received Aug. 24, at 5.5 p.m.) Three hundred men of the Warwick, Berkshire, and Gloucestershire Regiments refused to parade at Southampton for embarkation to France, believing that t..ey would be sent to a distent theatre, especially Russia. Though the impression was without foundation, the men refused to return to camp pending an examination of their grievances.—A. and N.Z. Cable.
MEN SENT TO CAMP. LONDON, August 23. (Received Aug. 24, at 11.5 p.m.) .The soldiers who refused to embark at Southampton were intended • for Turkey. They spent a night in the park, and were then conveyed to camp under an armed escort.—A. and N.Z. Gable.
