EASTERN EUROPE
THE " BIG FOUR'S " MANDATE. CESSATION OF HOSTILITIES. LONDON, June 19. (Received June 20, at 11.10 p.m.) The Australian Press Association learns that the Czecho-Slovak-Rumanian-Hun-garian struggle is ended, as a result of the Note of the 14th inst. from the Council of Four ordering hostilities to cease and amies to retire to the national boundaries. The Hungarians accordingly stopped their offensive. The situation is still strained between Austria and the Jugo-Slavs. The Italians, apparently, have undertaken a counter move against the Jugoslav advance in the Klagenfurt area by occupying villages, but the Jugo-Slavs have now got all they want, so it is hoped that no further trouble will occur between the Italians and the Jugo-Slavs.—A. and N.Z.
