' " Four Tears in Germany, ,, now being shown ei the Octagon Theatre, is a film which captrwiies an audience, revealing as :it does some of the methods adopted by the to gain a victory {or which they fought in vain. As presented on the screen ,tho pictures axe soul-stirring and appealing, and one almost feels as must have felt the victims of the brutality of the Germans. The picture 13 screened twice daily. ' The leading picture at the Queen's and King Edward lueatres is entitled " Pants," in which Mary' M'Allistor assumes the role v of & boy and carries through her part in -most amusing fashion. A Charlie Chaplin picture and an instalment of "The Fatal JtUng" is included in the programme. „';-■ Two. five-reel productions—" Miss U.S.A." end " High Finance"—are the special features at present being , screened at the Plaza Theatre. These two film dramas are /well supported by a good programme, "whioh includes the fourth instalment of tie "Do Children Count?" series. At Everybody's Theatre Kitty Gordon is seen in the leading role of " The Interloper," an interesting dramatic Chapter 4 of the serial '" The iicarlet Runner." and a irumber of other pictures are also screened. ■Will S. Hart, in the Arterait's masterpiece, "Wolv.es on the Rail," is attracting good houses to the Empire Theatre. ■ A : 'varied and interesting supporting prc:gramme is presented. "A Royal Romance," the principal picture in the current programme at the King's Theatre, continues to find favour . with local picture patrons. The film depicts, an engrossing story of love and in- '. trigue. in a foreign court. A powerful Fox comedy—" A Footlight Flame " —is included in. the screening.
