DUNEDIN CENTRE.

Messrs J. Allan, J. J. Marlow, and W. Nicolson' were present, by invitation, at a meeting of the executive of the Dunedin Centre last night. - :Mr Allan explained tho proposed amondmenta to bo brought before the conference to be held iu AucJciand during the association's tournament m January. Messrs Marlow and Nicolaon also spoke, pointing out the effect which the amendments might Lave. Tho gentlemen named were thanked for their attendance and explanations, and it was decided to instruct tho centre's dele- ; gate to vote against the chief proposals— thai; each centre should have the power to send a representative to tho council each year. ; Mr Allan also suggested that the principal ■meeting of the executive should bo held during tho tournament instead oi during September, as at present.—This was approved provided that such a course was feasible. / It was. decided to ask Mr W.
