DUNEDIN STOCK EXCHANGE. Business ort 'Change was fairly animated ie /yesterday, and two sales were effected —one „ of Westport Coals, at £1 10s 6d, and a parcel ot Mount Lyells at £1 Bs. Mining shares remained l steady, Dut investment n stocks were freely quoted. Holders of National Banks were asking £6 10s, and — sellers of Bank of New South Wales shares £37 10s, but there. were no purchasers on the market. There was a margin of 5s between buyers and sellers of Bank of New Zealands (£6 13s 4d paid), the former offering £18 5s and the latter holding out for £18 10s. Union Banks were on the market at £58 10s, but no business resulted, as buyers were not prepared to offer more than £58 ss. " P. and O. deferred show a rising tendency, buyers offering £408, but sellers are holding out for £410. . Sales. —Westport Coal, £1 10s 6d; Mount Lyell, £1 Bs.
