(Before Mr J. R. Bartholomew, S.M.) Theft. —To permit of further inquiries being made, Patience Hood, who pleaded guilty to the theft of a fur from another woman in Ohristchurch, was remanded till Saturday, bail being allowed—accused in £25, and one surety of £25. A youth was charged with the theft of a bicycle, valued at £5, the property of Richard Thomas Little. Ho pleaded guilty.—Senior Sergeant Murray stated that accused had been very frank with the police over the matter. —The Magistrate, in requesting the suppression of accused's name, said that he evidently needed proper control. He would bo convicted and ordered to come up for sentence when called upon, conditional on his being placed under Mr Axelsen's supervision, and the payment within three months of £1, representing damago sustained by tho bicycle.
