A recent cablegram to the Australian papers stated that the High Commands were agreed that the Australian soldiers had the highest killing capacity of any of the Allied troops. The Australian soldiers, however, would appear to discredit this distinction. A well-known military officer, at present in Dunedin, states that he recently received a letter from a comrade in France. This comrade said that the Americans were splendid. but that the Australians asserted that their language was very bad, and that they were very cruel. Chain-letters are to b3 barred hereafter from the United States mails.
