Attention was directed at a meeting of tho executive of the W.C.T.U. on Friday to an article m the March issue of the Mercantile Gazette, which commented upon tho waste of barley and sugar in Britain in the manufacture of beer, and showed that, while food was rationed, there is no rationing of beer, which is made from food material. It was also complained that spirits imported into our dominion y/or- 1 made from foodstuffs that was required at Home. Arrangements were made for a conoert to be given by Miss Mazengarb and her pupils on behalf of the Hutment Fund.
