QUEEN'S AND KING EDWARD THEATRES.
Tho new programme presented to crowded audienccs at the Queen's and King Edward Theatres yesterday has an excellent Vitagrapih drama as its leading leature. "Rioiiard tho Brazen" is a dramatisation of one of Cyrus Townsend Brady's brilliant stories, and in tho whole production of the picture the _ Vitagraph Company touches nigh-water mark. The Richard Williams, with whom tho story is'chiefly concerned, is secretary to Lord Croyland. By impersonating. The deception, lightly begun, has to be oarried through in deadly earnest, and one complication follows upon another. It happens that tho father of Harriet Renwyk, whom Richard is determined 1 to marry, is at bitter, business enmity with Richard's father. Tho only half-buried love affairs of Imogene, Harriet's cousin, also enter into the plot, and add tj) Richard's unhappiness. Blackmailers and safe-robbers have their active part in the olimax scene at tho Renwyk's mansion, when all the mysteries aro unravelled and happy reconciliations are tho order of tho day. Tho photography and scenery are really beautiful to watch, and the acting throughout is of a most convincing and entertaining character. A Patho scenio ipicturo is devoted to illustrating some of the most enhanting scenes in Southern California. The Gatrmont Graphic, as usual, contains many items of interest, and the programme is completed by a Patho oomedy called "Luke's Busy Day."
