SCHOOLS' CHAMPIONSHIP SPORTS.

All arrangements for the fifth annual Schools' Championship Sports ,which will be the attraction at the Caledonian Grounds on Saturday afternoon, are well in hand, and provided the weather is favourable a record attendance is anticipated, the final rehearsal of the boys' marching display will be held at the grounds to-morrow afternoon, at 3.15, when special cars—particulars of which appear in our columns—will convey the different ■ schools to the grounds. . On Saturday the City, North-end, and hills Schools will assemble at the Octagon at 2 p.m. and march to the old Post Office, headed by the massed school bands, under the direction of Mr J. Ronnie. . The prizes are now on view in the windows of Messrs Begg and Co. The massed schools' display and the military manoeuvres promise to eclipse anything of the kind seen before locally. The lady pupil teachers are to have control of the sweets stalls, ■whilst soft drinks will also be on sale. Altogether the fifth annual charapioniships should be crowned with success; it only rests with the public to ehow their appreciation of the movement by attendance
