MUSSELBURGH PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH.
SALE OF WORK. A sale of work in connection with the Mulsselburgh Presbyterian Church was opened yesterday afternoon in the church building, for the purpose of obtaining- funds to reduce the existing liability on the church property. The building 1 is beautifully decorated with flags, the work of Mr J. Skene. The .ladies of the Senior and Junior Guilds have presented a fine array of plain and fancy goods, all of a serviceable character, and a special feature is an arts and crafts stall laden with useful articles, the contributions of the men of the congregation. The Rev. R. Scott Allan, in declaring the sale open yesterday afternoon, expressed his best thanks to tho ladies who had worked so energetically, and trusted that their efforts to dispose of the contents of the stalls would meet with the fullest success. The Musselburgh Orchestra enlivened the proceedings with spirited music, under the conductorship of Mr S. Gilchrist. Following are tho names of the stallholders':— • Plain Stall.—Mesdames Wangh, Brown, and Kerr.' Fancy Stalk —Misses Ruby Hall and M. Bruce, and tho members of the Young Ladies' Guild Produce Stall.—Mesdames Allan, Dawe, and Murdoch, aad Mr A. Moorehead. Ijolly Stall —Lady members of choir. Cake Stall.—Mesdames Hendry, Lough, and Sinclair. Flower Stall.—Mesdames Ireland, W. P. Stewart, and Miss M. Stewart. Refreshment Room.—Mesdames Wheebr. Cameron, and Harvey. Arts and Crafts Stall.—Gentlemen's Committee. Children's Dip.—Miss ,M. MacCallum and Mrs P. MacCallum. Games. —Messrs Hobbs and Sinclair. Good business was done throughout the day and evening. The sale will be continued this afternoon and evening.
