THE ARGENTINE SCANDAL.

COUNT LUXBURG RECALLED

Australian and N.Z. Cable Association and Router. BUENOS AIRES, September 18. Germany has recalled Count Luxburg. Senor Pueyrodtin (Argentine Foreign Minister) says that Germany's assurances, which were made to the Under-secretary of Foreign Affairs, are insufficient, and a formal Note from Germany is required.

ATTITUDE OF ARGENTINE GOVERNMENT.

BUENOS AIRES, September 18. The Argentine Government considers the German Ministry here to be vacant until Germany formally disavows Count Luxburg's activities. Mass meetings are being held urging that the formal severing of relations with Germany shall continue.

PROBABLE ACCEPTANCE

BUENOS AIRES, September 18. Germany has apologised to the Argentine, stating that elic entirely disapproves of. Count Luxburg's words. It is generally believed that the Government will accept the apology. _ Luxburg is staying at the Austrian Legation, and has asked Spain to secure him a safe conduct to Berlin.

In Cordoba Central the strikers havo torn up'the line, wrecked the rolling stock, signal boxes, and stations, and have derailed a troop train. The managers of ths English and French lines are considering the necessity of a lock-out.
