CHRISTCHDRCH, September 18. There is no business doing in grain, as none is offering, though there is some inqtriry for oats. The demand for oatsheaf chaff continues fairly good for North Island markets other than Auckland, which is said to be well ■ supplied at present. Prices range from £4 to £4 10s at country stations, according to quality. As was anticipated last week, the potato market is easier. Buyers are now offering £2 15s per ton at country stations, at which figure some sales have been made. Growers are, however, not keen to sell at this figure.
