BLUFF, September 18.—Arrived:' Ngatoro (7.30 a.m.), from Dunedin. «€»■ Tie Kaifcuna was expected to leave Westport yesterday with coal for Auckland. The Kowhai was expected to sail from Picton yesterday with a cargo of chaff for Qnehtmga. t The- Kotare is fixed to sail this evening far Bluff and Invercargill. The Kakapo cleared Westport at 10.30 a.m. yesterday _ for Lyttelton. The Breeze is duc_ here- to-morrow from nortliern ports, and is expected to sail the same day for Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington, and Wanganui. r - The Karamu was fixed to sail from Port Chalmers last night for Timaru and Greymouth to load for Lyttelton. The Monowai reached. Napier at 11 a:m. .yesterday, and was to sail at night for Gisborno and Auckland. The Tarawera is timed to sail from "Wellington to-day for Lyttelton and Dunedin. She' is due here to-morrow. The weather improved at Napier yesterday, and the Koromiko was berthed again in the forenoon. Sho will sail to-day for Gisborne and Auckland. The. Aratapu reached Port Chalmers yesterday after a smart passage of 10 days from Kaipara and Whangape. The brigantine, which was towed into the harbour by the tug Plucky, brought 85,000 ft* of timber, most of which is for discharge at Dunedin. The Aratapu, which was bought some time ago by Messrs H. L. Tapley and Co., is under the command of Captain Rennie. She is a serviceable vessel, and has the reputation of being a good sailer. She is expected to sail about Friday with general cargo for Westport.
