DISCHARGED SOLDIERS AND SAILORS. PROTEST AGAINST PEACE CONFERENCE. Renter's Telegrams. LONDON, August 23. (Received Aug. 24, at 8.20 a.m.) The secretary of the National Federation of Discharged Soldiers and Sailors has telegraphed to the King and the Prime Minister as follows:—" A quarter of a million men who fought at Mons, the Maine, the Aisne, Ypres, and Jutland protest against a discussion regarding peace at Stockholm or elsewhere. Are all our sacrifices to be in vain? Remember, we once helped to save Europe."
