Tho secretary of tlio Nokomai Hydraulio bluioing Company reports that No.' 2 Had only four days' stripping last week. The dam became empty on Tliuisday night. It was oxpucted to resume sluicing at No. S on Monday. There was some rain, and snow fell on Sunday. Tho Mount Greenland Quartz Mining Company, during the 12 weeks ended July 28, treated 144 tons 15cwt for a return of £851 Ba. The total value of bullion obtained to date is £1962 15s 3d. The Rising iiun Gold Mining- Company lias crushed and treated 170 tons of ore lor bullion worth £510 7a lid, and eyanided .112 tons of tailings for £182 5s Bd. in addition, concentrates yielded £148, making a total return of £840 ISs 7d. This gives an average of £4 ISs per ton. . The following information was contained m a cablegram sent to the head office in London of the Wailii Grand Junction Company on Thursday: "We are crushing 404 tons per 24 hours; the extraction is £1 15s pei ton. No. 8 level: Tho drive west has been advanced to 2311t. Tho average value of a width of 60in is £2 5s 4d per ton. A crosscut to the south at 230 ft west shows tho lode to bo 120 in wide. The first 60in ast>a.ys 17s 9d, the next 60in £1 15 6d per ton. No. 9 riso is now up 65tt. Tho average value for a t width of 33in is £2 4s lOd. Royal lode: Tho drive west is now out 78ft.
