The next day Mr Stevens was convoyed a distance of nearly 26 miles to Mount Nicholas Station, where ho was met in tho evening by Messrs Mackenzie's launch, with Dr Stewart aboard. Tho doctor attended to tho log temporarily, and on arrival in Queenstown tho sufferer was conveyed to the hospital. The leg was attended to next day, and it is understood that the patient is progressing as well as is possible after his trying ordeal.
