ALLEGED PERJURY
charges AGAINST NATIVES.
(Peb Unitei> Press Association.) . HAMILTON, April 13. During tho hearing of tho perjury charges in tho Supremo Court Constable oioniier described the allegation that ho had fired the first shot at Rua's pa, and that ho fired tho shot point blank at Rua, as a diabolical conspiracy. During cross-examination, AV. Cobbledick (Government ranger at llotorua) mado an emphatic statement to tho effcct that the Native Paul King, since deceased, fired tho first shot at ftua's pa on April 2, 1916, and that ho (witness) had proved it to his own satisfaction.
