PIRATES' CLUB. Tho annual meeting of tho Pirates' Football Club was held last night. There was a good atteudanco of members, and the meeting was tho most successful one of recent years. The following office-bearers were elected for tho ensuing year-.—President, Mr Kirkcaldy ; vice-presidents—Messrs Stuart, Priest, Johnston©, and Fairbairn; club captain, Mr Styche; deputy-captain, Mr D. Spedding; lion, secretary and-treasurer, Mr Angus. The usual committees and delegates were also elected. The retiring chairman (Mr Crosby Morris), in a brief speech, for the benefit of junior members, reviewed the history of the club since its inception in 1882. " In 1886 the club had gone through tho season unbeaten, and, although they might not often reach that mark, he was sure they would always play tho game in tho truo spirit of sport-. Votes of thanks we repassed to tho retiring chairman (who has been associated with tho club for many years), to St. John Ambulance Association, to tho press, and to the Referees' Association.
