Mr Ilanan (Minister of Education) stated to day that the medical inspection of school children was bringing to light a number of pituiblc cases ot foebleniuided children for whom bciter provision than at present existed "was required. In one district lately inspected a family of 12 childien was found, all of whom were moie or less feeble-minded. The matter ought to be dealt with m a thorough and comprehensive minner, but fi ,- st it was nooessaty to asceitain how many such eases there weie in the dominion requiting special treatment in institutions.
