A claim for £1000 for alleged libel bj Ernest James Smith, draper, of Gre)mouth, against W.lliam M'Kay, draper, of Grevmouth. for remarks m an anonymous letter, was commenced in tho Supreme Court bcfoie Mr Justice Dcnniston. The .ase had previously been heaid at Greymouth lefore Mr Justice Sim, when the jury disagree *. Owing to the indisposition of Mr flannaii, counsel for plaintiff, the hearing was adjourned till to-morrow.
