PRISONERS SENTENCED.
(Peb United Pbess Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, April 10. Tho following prisoners were sontobced in the Supreme Court to-day:— Frederick John Lewis, indecent assault, 10 years and declared an habitual criminal. Thomas A. Crooko, series of thefts, five V62XS Noel D. Howard, breaking and entering, detention for reformative treatment in Invercargill prison. William Henry Grant, same counts, recommitted to Burnham Industrial SohooL George Albert Hesselyn, a returned soldier, forgery,, to como up for sentence when called on. James A. Robertson, forging a document, fined £5. Clarence Barton Lye, theft. Aceasea offered to rtnlist, and was remanded till May 1. Gordon Hugh Ayson, theft from a postal packet, admitted to probation for one year. '
