A P. AND 0. LINER SUNK.

LONDON, April 7. Lloyd's reports that the Peninsular and Oriental Company's steamer. Simla has been sunk in the Mediterranean. The steamer Vesuvio, bound from the Mediterranean to London, has been torpedoed in the English Channel. Her captain and five of the crew perished, and three others were injured. Lloyd's reports that 11 of the Sink's lascars were drowned and the remainder saved.

DANISH STEAMER SUNK. COPENHAGEN, April 8. (Received April 9, at 5.5 p.m.) The Danish steamer Stjerneborg (1592 tons, built in 1899) was torpedoed and sunk outside Cagliari. The crew were saved.
