PRIVATE O'BRIEN.

Mr J. A. O'Brien, Roslyn, received advice from Mr Allen on Wednesday that hie Bon Martin, who had been previously reported uiicjsing from May 2, was now, according to tho Court of Inquiry, believed to have been killed in action, lie left witli the main body as bugler to tho 4th Regiment. Ho was educated at tho Christian Brothers' School, and was an enthusiastic footballer and athlete of no moan order. lie was also an active member of the St. Joseph's Harrier Club. He was employed as a tailor in his father's business, and at tho time of his enlistment was 17£ years old. Telegrams of condolenco wexe received from all tho hoads of the Government.
