OTAGO WOMEN'S PATRIOTIC ASSOCIATION.
Tho workers are busy preparing the equipment for the Otago men in the lentil Reinforcements, and in tho 3rd and 4tn Batta'ions of the Rifle Brigade. lheso articles are given to tho men just within a day or two of their arrival in Egypt, or wherever might bo their destination. All these parcels have been given into tho chargo of officers, who have undertaken to distribute them, and letters have been received from men in every reinforcement saying that these parcels had been received, arid thanking the women of Otago tor their gifts. The Ninth Reinforcements left Wellington a few days ago, and Lieutena-nts Downio Stewart and Litmore have undertaken to see that this is done for their men, and there should bo no doubt about the men receiving their gifts. There will be a supply of jam tins at tho hall to-day for distribution, and in connection with this the committeo would bo very pleased to have somo of tho tins tilled with honey. . Cases have been received from the following Patriotic Committees Mosgiel, Waitati, Port Chalmers, Waikouaiti, Morning'ton, Heriot, Olinton, Seacliff Strachan, Oaraaru Overseas Club, Ranfuriv, Balclutha, M'Lennan, Waiwera South. Handsome donations have also been reived from the following schools: —Waitepeka (per Miss M. E. Renshaw), Kyburn Diggings, Rongahere, Sawyers' Bay, Glcnkemch, Alexandra District High, Berwick, Southbridgo, Arthur Street, Waipahi, Kurivvao, Musselburgh, Bannockburn. British and Belgian Fund. —Goods: Miss D. Simpson (Owaka), Green Island, Mr Lawson, Papatowai, Heriot, Balclutha, Ranfurly, Musselburgh School, Mrs Poulter. Lady Liverpool Fund. —Goods: Mcsdames H. E. Beveridgc, Fraser, M'Farlane, Alexander, Watson Shennan, Fitt, M'Kenzie, Liddle, F. Clarke,. Norman Hislop, A. J. Couchman, S. Jacobs, Misses Reid,_ B. Olark, M. Mooro (Mosgiel), M'Gilhvray (Merton), Edwards (2). Tho following is one of tho many letters of thanks received from people who distributed the British and Belgian relief ■roods: —"Tho Mission House, 12 Hogarth place, Chiswick W., London, England, December 1, _ 1915. —Mrs Limbrick, who is a mission worker of the above address, in a very poor parish of 6000 very poor people., has received from the N.V.W.S.S. a parcel of small children's clothing, and she feels she would like to send you the thanks of the mothers for this lovely gift to people so far away from you. For myself I am grateful, as my people I work amonget are very poor and feeling very badly tho high prieo of food and clothing during this dreadful war, <ond it is getting harder to get help for them.
