OVERSEAS CLUB.
The Ladies' Committee of the local branch of the Overseas Club have resumed work, after the holidays, but during the present month will meet only on Wednesdays for work in their rooms. They have a lot of work before them, and members are urgently requested to attend, if only _to seoitro material already cut out for making shirts at their own homes. Donations are asked for, in tho form of socks, balaclavas, mufflers, shirts, or other oomforts, for the box to be sent as soon as filled to the hospital in Egypt. Articles and material are also solicited for the Belgian * Relief, and the Highlands of • Scotland boxes. The Ladies' Committee gratefully acknowledges tho following donations: —Mrs Sheridan, socks and balaclavas; Miss Suche (Oam-mi), infants' clothing; Mrs Nesbit (Archcrfiold), lx)x of clothing; Mrs Speight, boys' clothing for Highland box;, Mrs Webster, soldiers' shirts; Mrs Carvalho, box; several anonymous parcel?, Well-wisher, £1; Mr C. W. Hawkins, books (third parcel). It is hoped that members of the committee who have in tho post been unable to attend will this year make an effort to do so, if only to relieve those who have borne the brunt of the work in the past.
